We offer many resources that are free to the public, but those resources aren’t truly “free”—they are supported by your membership dues! Your contribution is an investment that sustains everything PGS offers to advance your family history work.

- Purchasing new books for our growing library.
- Premium Databases:
- Providing access to selected subscription databases (like Newspapers.com, Godfrey Library, and Fold3).
- Personal Research Support:
- Supporting our incredible volunteers who offer one-on-one assistance to patrons.
- Education and Learning:
- Funding our comprehensive curriculum of 300 classes, videos, and discussion groups.
- Engaging Programs:
- Bringing you quality program speakers at monthly meetings and speakers for our semiannual lecture series.
- Community Visibility:
- Maintaining PGS membership and visibility in national and state organizations (FGS, NGS, FSGS).
- Special Projects:
- Supporting crucial efforts like data transcription and cemetery canvassing.
- Infrastructure & Future:
- Covering the costs for maintaining the PGS office, website, and newsletter, as well as necessary administrative and legal fees (insurance, bonding, etc.)—all of which secure the financial future of PGS.
