Genealogy Research by the Pinellas Genealogy Society

The Pinellas Genealogy Society is always glad to conduct obituary research as requested by members and non-members. However, to cover costs, the Research Committee has found it necessary to charge for this service. Please include this fee with your request. The same applies for incidental research other than for obituaries.

The Society’s Basic Fee is $10.00 per name searched. Please include your e-mail address and mailing address on all correspondence. This fee will cover copying and mailing charges and any travel expenses (if an obituary is not available at Largo Library, a trip to the St. Petersburg Library or Clearwater Library to retrieve THE obituary might be necessary).

The Fee covers searching the indexes of Pinellas County cemeteries, St. Petersburg Times Obituaries (1905 -present), Florida Death Index (1877-1991), Florida Vital Records Marriage Index (1927-1991), History of Pinellas County, Florida Federal Census Indexes (Census years available) and manuscript files (file of surname being searched if there is one).

Anyone requesting research should submit a request in writing, including the fee, to:
